Me gusta vivr aqui. Tengo buenos vecinos. Teng buenos amigos.

-Yessi”

(My name is Yessi. My story is that there must be no more racism in schools! No more poverty! That the quality of schools aren't based on being in a low income neighborhood or that they receive less support just because people in my community are poor, or Hispanic immigrants, or are people of color.  Schools are classified without really being 100 percent considered. So if we want better professionals they have to give us equal education. If there were better schools, there would be better students and better people for our community. This is what we want--we want Bridgeport to have good schools so that we don't have to move to another city just because there aren't any good schools. I like my community. I like living here. I have good neighbors. I have good friends. I don't want to be told that I can't live in this city. There  are no opportunities for immigrants, people of color, Latin people, good people. That's us. No more poverty. No less funding simply because here we are seen as poor. )
