"I was visiting a classroom (in Hartford). A little boy was not participating in a group activity. I went toward him, gesturing to join us, and his teacher said, “Never mind him. He is a lost cause.” In his earshot- he was 9, maybe 10 years old. If that’s what he is hearing from his teacher and also add negative images in the media and society he may be hearing/seeing…How can he possibly grow? Imagine the impact on his spirit.
